Ligang Wu received the B.S. degree in Automation from Harbin University of Science and Technology, China in 2001; the M.E. degree in Navigation Guidance and Control from Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 2003; the PhD degree in Control Theory and Control Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, China in 2006. From January 2006 to April 2007, he was a Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. From September 2007 to June 2008, he was a Senior Research Associate in the Department of Mathematics, City University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. From December 2012 to December 2013, he was a Research Associate in the Department of Electrical and Electronic Engineering, Imperial College London, UK. In 2008, he joined the Harbin Institute of Technology, China, as an Associate Professor, and was then promoted to a Full Professor in 2012. Prof. Wu was the winner of the National Science Fund for Distinguished Young Scholars in 2015, and received the China Youth Wusi Medal in 2016. He was named as the National High-Level Talents in 2017, and was named as the Highly Cited Researcher since 2015. He is a Fellow of the IEEE (for contributions to sliding mode control and robust filtering) and a Fellow of CAA (Chinese Association of Automation). Prof. Wu serves/served as an Associate Editor for a number of journals, including IEEE Transactions on Automatic Control, IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, IEEE/ASME Transactions on Mechatronics, IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine, and IET Control Theory and Applications. He has published 8 research monographs and more than 200 research papers in international referred journals. His current research interests include analysis and design for cyber-physical systems, novel optimization techniques and applications, sliding mode control and its applications, autonomous intelligent unmanned systems, intelligent systems and robot technology, machine vision and intelligent detection technology, and power electronic systems.

Leopoldo G. Franquelo was born in Málaga, Spain, and he received the M.Sc. and Ph.D. degrees in electrical engineering from the Universidad de Sevilla, Spain, in 1977 and 1980, respectively. His research interests include modulation techniques for multilevel inverters and application to power electronic systems for renewable energy systems. He has been an IEEE Industrial Electronics Society (IES) Distinguished Lecturer since 2006. He became an Associate Editor for the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics in 2007, the Co-Editorin-Chief in 2014, and the Editor-in-Chief in 2015. He is currently the Editor-in-Chief of the IEEE Open Journal of the Industrial Electronics Society. He was a Member-at-Large of the IES AdCom (2002-2003), the Vice President for Conferences (2004-2007), the President Elect of the IES (2008-2009), and was the President of the IES (2010-2011). He is an IES AdCom Life member and IEEE Life Fellow. He has received a number of Best Paper Awards from IEEE journals. In 2012 and 2015, he was the recipient of the Eugene Mittelmann Award and the Antohny J. Hornfeck Service Award from IES, respectively. He received the Chinese Government Friendship Award in 2018.

Jose I. Leon was born in Cadiz, Spain. He received the B.S., M.S., and Ph.D. degrees in telecommunications engineering from Universidad de Sevilla (US), Seville, Spain, in 2001, 2004, and 2006, respectively. Currently, he is an Associate Professor with the Department of Electronic Engineering, US. His research interests include modulation and control of power converters for high-power applications and renewable energy systems. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics. Dr. Leon was a co-recipient of the 2008 Best Paper Award of IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine, the 2012 Best Paper Award of the IEEE Transactions on Industrial Electronics, and the 2015 Best Paper Award of IEEE Industrial Electronics Magazine. He was the recipient of the 2014 IEEE J. David Irwin Industrial Electronics Society Early Career Award, the 2017 IEEE Bimal K. Bose Energy Systems Award and the 2017 Manuel Losada Villasante Award for excellence in research and innovation. In 2017, he has been elevated to the IEEE fellow grade with the following citation for contributions to high-power electronic converters.

Guanghui Sun was born in Henan Province, China, in 1983. He received the B.S. degree in Automation from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2005, and the M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Control Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2007 and 2010, respectively. From February 2013 to July 2013, he was a Research Associate in the Department of Mechanical Engineering, The University of Hong Kong, Hong Kong. From September 2013 to October 2014, he was a Post-doctor in the Department of Earth and Space Science and Engineering, York University. He joined the Harbin Institute of Technology in 2010 was promoted to a Full Professor in 2018. Prof. Sun was named as the National High-Level Young Talents in 2019. Prof. Sun currently serves as a professor with Department of Control Science and Engineering in Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China. Prof. Sun published more than 50 research papers in automatic, IEEE trans. and AIAA series international referred journals, and more than 30 patents in engineering application. His research interests include fractional order system, sliding mode control, and their applications to spacecraft control and visual servo control systems.

Jianxing Liu received the B.S. degree in mechanical engineering in 2008, the M.E. degree in control science and engineering in 2010, both from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China and the Ph.D. degree in Automation from the Technical University of Belfort-Montbeliard (UTBM), France, in 2014. Since 2014, he joined Harbin Institute of Technology, as an Assistant Professor, and was promoted to Full Professor in 2020. Prof. Liu was the winner of the National Science Fund for Excellent Young Scholars in 2020, and was named as the Highly Cited Researcher since 2019. Prof. Liu's current research interests include nonlinear control, sliding mode control, control design of renewable energy systems, control of power electronics and converters, energy management for micro-grids, nonlinear control and observation methods, and their applications in industrial electronics systems. Prof. Liu has published one research monograph and more than 50 research papers in international referred journals. He is currently serving as an Associate Editor for several journals, e.g., ISA Transactions, Journal of Power Electronics and IEEE Journal of Emerging and Selected Topics in Industrial Electronics, etc.

Yi Zeng received the B.S. degree in Automation and the M.S. degree in Control Sciences and Engineering from the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2014 and 2016, respectively, and the Ph.D. degree in Control Sciences and Engineering from the King's College London, London, UK, in 2021. He is currently a Professor in the Department of Control Science and Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology. Wensheng Luo received the B.S. degree in Mechanical Design, Manufacturing, and Automation from Harbin Engineering University, Harbin, China, in 2007, and the M.E. degree in Mechatronics from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2009. She received double Ph.D. degrees: one is in Control Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2019, and the other is in Electronic Engineering in the University of Seville, Seville, Spain. She is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Electrical Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology. She worked as embedded-system engineer in China Railway Rolling Stock Group Co., Ltd. from 2009 to 2012, and worked as project manager in China Chang’an Automobile Group Co., Ltd. from 2012 to 2014. Dr. Luo has co-authored one research monograph and more than 20 research papers in international refereed journals. Part of his research results was participated in the evaluation of the first award of natural science and technology of Heilongjiang Province and won the award, in 2019. Her current research interests include sliding mode control, robust control and observer-based control for power converters.

Weiran Yao received the bachelor's (with Hons.), master's, and doctor's degrees in aeronautical and astronautical science and technology from the School of Astronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology (HIT), Harbin, China, in 2013, 2015, and 2020, respectively. From 2017 to 2018, he was a Visiting Scholar with the Department of Mechanical and Industrial Engineering, University of Toronto, Toronto, ON, Canada. In 2019, He won the first prize of China's Ministerial Technological Invention Award. In 2020, he won the second prize of China's the State Technological Invention Award. He is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Astronautics, HIT. His research interests include unmanned vehicles, multirobot mission planning, and multiagent control systems.

Yabin Gao received the B.M. degree in Information Management and Information System in 2012, the M.E. degree in Software Engineering in 2015, both from Bohai University, Jinzhou, China, and the Ph.D. degree in Control Science and Engineering from Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China, in 2020. He is currently an Associate Professor in the Department of Control Science and Engineering, Harbin Institute of Technology. Yi Ji received the B.S. degree from Chongqing University in Chongqing, China, in 2017, and the Ph.D. degree from Beihang University in Beijing, China, in 2022. From 2022 to 2023, she worked as a postdoctoral fellow at Beijing Institute of Technology. In 2019, She worked as an academic visitor at the University of Cambridge in Cambridge, UK. She has published more than 10 SCI papers in high-quality international journals. She won the National Science Foundation of China, the China Postdoctoral Science Foundation, and the Young Elite Scientist Sponsorship Program by BAST. She is currently an Associate Professor with the School of Astronautics, Harbin Institute of Technology. Her research interests include multibody systems, structural dynamic systems, heat conduction systems, and their applications in aerospace.

Chengwei Wu received the B.S. degree in management from the Arts and Science College, Bohai University, Jinzhou, China, in 2013, and the M.S. degree from Bohai University, in 2016. He is currently pursuing the Ph.D. degree with the Harbin Institute of Technology, Harbin, China.
